I had my name on one of the first Apple iPod Touch within an hour of Apple's announcement--still have it, and have yet to upgrade it while waiting for the next best thing...between my laptop, desktop, and the touch don't need to...however, the tablets are a smart choice as a substitute for a laptop...the tablets have 100% of the functions most people need, and at a lower cost...

I love my iPhone and iPad, but for the heavy-duty, no-foolin' around, gotta-get-work done part of the day, my desktop computer still rules.

Use my IPad even more than my IPhone and I use the IPhone more than my Mac. My two year old grandson enjoys my IPad although he is restricted to restaurants if he wants to play Angry Birds.. He's pretty darn good at it.

I'm with Suz. I love my IPad. It's a lot more convenient than the computer and also fun. I'm pretty good at Angry Birds. My six year old grandson taught me how to play. He's moved on to Asphalt 6, a car racing app. I'll stick with Angry Birds. Oh, and it's great for music too. I have a dock for it and it's better than a stereo. Great sound!

I'm in the same boat as CArch. I have no need nor desire to be connected to the world 24/7. I'm a bit concerned that one of these days my granddaughter will ask me "What was it like you had time alone, grandpa?"
