  1. EPHRATA — The estimated costs related to Wanapum Dam’s broken spillway have climbed to $86.5 million, up nearly 42 percent from the original estimate, but still not enough for Grant County PUD ratepayers to pay any more for electricity than already planned.
  2. WENATCHEE -- Zero hour: 7 a.m. Thursday. The moment before which no chair must be seen along the Apple Blossom Festival parade route, according to the city’s regulation, now into its second year.
  3. CASHMERE – Yaksum Canyon road will be closed until about noon between Coates and Binder roads today, while Chelan County crews clear a mudslide caused by a broken irrigation pipe.
  4. NCW — Grant County PUD commissioners Monday approved salary increases for General Manager Tony Webb and staff attorney Mitch Delabarre for “considerably above satisfactory” performance over the past year.
  5. AZWELL — Many rural Chelan County residents enjoy cable TV service in their homes, but never has an osprey shown any interest in it – until possibly Tuesday.
