Just a late reply to Jerald Sergents remark of pot smokers "having low paying jobs...." Ummm. Perhaps they work at an inexpensive restaurant where the owner cheats his employees by taking a percentage of their hard earned tips to pay for his credit card machine.

Jerry, I am suprised to hear from you. Many others have said they wanted to talk to teach me a thing or two but when I invite them they go away. Does this mean you're the real deal?
.
I admit I sometimes have more passion than smarts, but I watch all these "Christians" pussyfoot around the issues while the world grows more and more corrupt. Jesus shouted at the money changers and told off the Pharasees; I think sometimes you have to hit a mule up along side the head to get their attention. Soft caresses only seem to reenforce some people.

I too used to spend much time on Christian Forums and other debate sites. I learned alot, and I learned that being soft on issues doesn't convert those people either. Sometimes I pray while I write and just believe the Lord will make those who read it understand what He wants them to read. I feel I am doing what I should by opposing sin and by being a firm voice of righteousness. I believe it is the Holy spirit that does the convincing anyway, and by sharing something I give Him the opening to work.

OK, one topic at a time. The trinity: I believe in it because my parents did, how is that for honesty. But I also believe in it because I can't explain Jesus' deity and the fact that He prayed to the Father and left so that the Spirit might come any other way. We either have three Gods, which goes against the bible, or we have a triune God, which is never stated in sctipture, or Jesus wasn't God, in which case how did He forgive sin and how does He justify His statements "No one gets to the Father except through me", and "I and the Father are one", and "before Abraham, I am."?
.
John must have believed Him to be God, He believed Him to be creator.

There are some issues I won't debate, and this is one, so I look forward to your response. You will find me less combattitive discussing scripture interpretation than defending it as more than "fairy tails" to Lurker.

Jerald, sometimes my email defaults to the verison account which I cannot access.
You can reach me at t2b2lamb@msn.com

Or you can do a personal message like this. You don't have to respond but if you want to talk I'll welcome it.

Half the people here hate me because i believe the bible speaks distinctly against Homosex. I could use a logical person to discuss these things with.
