Parents charged in death of teen

I could never understand this. Didn't Jesus say "the whole need no physician, but them who are sick"? Take him to the doctor already!

The uninspired GOP electorate

However, I just heard the unemployment is suppose to be at or near 9% by election day. If that happens hopefully we will elect a new president. In fact let us pray for obama, Psalms 108:9 "let his days be few and brief, and let others step forward to replace him"

Health care law’s starting to save patients money

What? did you not read my insurance will go from $400 to 750-1000? I as a fifty year old man do not need to pay for womens birth control. This one size fits all crap is what I detest in government.

The cost of conscience

Perhaps you, like Obama are discusted with the US constitution and plan to continue to trample it's limits on the federal government. I revere our founders as wise men who forsaw the real issue here which is mans propencity to run roughshod over our "God given rights" Do you know the total cost to regulate farm products is greater than the actual value of those farm products? We have become the nanny state with rules telling us what kind of light bulb to by, what kind of health care is good enough for us and a million more rules and regulations. If you want more of this continue to drink the utopian koolaid the democrats are selling, as for me I prefer my freedom and will speak out on government over reach when I feel like it. It may interest you and others to know one of the primary principles of Marxism is a heavy progressive income tax. The bottom 50% of wage earners in the USA pay less than 3% of the federal income tax bill. The left are the party of Death (abortion, assisted suicide) and the party of dependency. Alan Keys (?) said the Democrats were the party of slavery, segregation, seperation and now they are the party of socialism, he is exactly right. Is society benifited by creating a sub group of people who are given things? how has it worked for inner city folks? or indians? The more society does the worse off people are, and the house of cards eventually falls under it's own weight. The fact that Obama has a 49% approval rating shows IMO that people are so unaware of what made our country great that they simply vote for the latest thing. No wonder the left want no voter ID laws and illegals to have the right to vote, the more uninformed, the less they know about our founding documents, the better it is for the left.

A question of trust: Pateros couple loses life savings

No Dave, they already have enough for davis bacon wages and public funded pensions, unlike in the private sector. It is simply the government cares more about funding their "campain supporters" than protecting the public.

The cost of conscience

It has been quite a ride on the Obama super hiway to tyranny and here we have example #99. With Obamacare we get so many new mandates "rules" we have to follow. I buy a major med plan, cost $400 per month for a family. With Obama care it is expected to be between $750-$1000 a month. What do I get for the extra money? morning after pill, free womens contraception (very useful at age 50) and more. We are smart enough to elect our leaders but not, in the governments wisdom smart enough to determine what kind of light bulb we should buy or whether we can sort out the health benifits we are willing to pay for and really need. The fact that currently 49% of the populace are lemmings gives the rest of us little hope things will be corrected in November.
