Genie, these are the kind of people you seek out to "build and strengthen our online communities?" This person is condescending and makes incendiary remarks with a "holier than thou" attitude. How is that "constructive?"

Thank you for asking for input.

Not only would I "like" to see more being written about some general concerns that I have about this area, I think it's absolutely crucial for the interest of a better quality of life for the people here.

Why are there no public places to recycle here? Do they think that Wenatchee's plastic is somehow more biodegradable than the plastic in the city? And why is there no recycling available in apartment complexes?

There are precious few healthy places to eat out in Wenatchee, and people drive basically everywhere they go. As a result, the majority of the population is grossly overweight.

Additionally, the public transportation seems to only run until early evening. Wouldn't it be better to invest a bit more in the public transportation to save on gas money, the environment, and obesity, as well as drunk driving?

And what about kids? There is absolutely nothing for junior high/high school aged kids to do here, besides walk around in Target on weekend nights.
That's sad, and bored kids tend to get into trouble. Why isn't there a place where kids can be artistic/creative/musical on weekend nights without there being a "faith-based" hook or religious theme? If you want your kids to stay off drugs and not get pregnant when they're 16 years old, give them something else to do, and encourage them to do it with like-minded kids.
