Sunday’s prep box scores; other scores from around the state

You are correct, Tim. That was a typo by the Associated Press. ACH beat MLCA by that score.

Omak nips Pateros

According to the Pateros coaching staff, she went on a family vacation over Thanksgiving that caused her to miss practices, so she doesn't have the requisite number to be eligible yet. She is expected to play on Saturday.

Relief! Panthers get much-needed victory

I wrote this story, and I cover Wenatchee High School athletics throughout the year.
I realize that the nature of sports gives rise to debate and discussion, and we at the World want to encourage that discussion of our local teams on our Web site.
At the same time, we want to remind our readers and commenters that the kids that play prep sports are not college or professional athletes, and to keep that in mind when posting. Comments will be moderated and discussion will be guided to that end.
Thanks.

Panthers aim for breakout

In the paper, the story was part of a larger package under the heading High School Volleyball Season Previews that included similar stories about the teams at Eastmont, in the Caribou Trail League, the CWAC and the CWL, clearly indicating what sport was being discussed. Apologies for any confusion. Thanks for reading.
