Success summit offers an antidote to the nastiness

One of the hazards of modern political campaigns is the nastiness and pettiness that override serious discussion of public policy. Sadly, the parties and candidates have learned that crucifying opponents and blaming them for all that is wrong in the world is the strategy most likely to succeed. The unfortunate byproduct of this highly partisan environment is that thoughtful, reasonable people are so turned off that they start believing that nothing good is being accomplished.
