Wenatchee artist and First Fridays volunteer Kasey Koski talks about the evolution of the monthly arts walks. A number of businesses regularly host the works or artists and some incorporate music on the first Friday of each month. The next ArtsWalk will be held on Friday, Feb. 1 from 5-8 p.m.

It’s been three years since the Wenatchee First Fridays ArtsWalk was launched and over that time period it has evolved into a valuable community asset that has encouraged individuals to appreciate the talents of local artists and has better connected artists with downtown businesses. There’s every reason to believe the valley can become a major arts destination for visitors to our region.
