Shoreline patrols on Wanapum Dam reservoir

Local and state agencies are patrolling Columbia River shoreline above Wanapum Dam to help ensure safety and protect from looting and defacement the cultural sites important to the Wanapum Indians. Analysis and repair of the dam's cracked spillway has required an unprecedented, 26-foot drawdown of the reservoir, exposing wide expanses of unstable mud flats.
