Dangerous gap in Sellar Bridge
World Reporter Christine Pratt went out with a group of students and folks from the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust recently as they recorded the locations and numbers of the mule deer on the 1,500-acre reserve it owns and manages for public recreation off upper Horse Lake Road. The Land Trust will use the data to guide their management of the land and location of new trails, said Hanne Beener, the Trust’s trails and stewardship coordinator.
“I looked out my bedroom window and saw nothing but water and the loudness of it; it was like a river,” Debbie Barsten, Wenatchee. A plugged ditch resulted in a Wenatchee neighborhood being flooded this past weekend.
