The Honeycrisp apple, the state fruit of Minnesota and a favorite fruit of our household, holds its color and firmness even when posed for 15 minutes or so. Crossbred from the Keepsake and some mystery cultivar, the Honeycrisp is one of those things you don't think would exist -- fruit with a patent.
