Blog: Culture Check
March 13, 2010
Last year's redesign of the junction of Highway 2 and 97 (Blewett Highway) sprouted a veritable city of seedling tubes. They're the plastic mesh protectors that help keep the sap in saplings by keeping them out of the mouths of deer and other voracious critters.

All these young sprouts keep a nearby creek bank rooted in place, I guess. But they're also quite pretty in the morning and evening light.
