Pod explosion

Blog: Culture Check

A late burst of milkweed seeds during a warm spell last month in East Wenatchee was an opportunity for these babies to float. A steady breeze (you can see the seeds are somewhat blurred) lifted them right up a minute later and flew them to, I think, Pangborn, where they caught a flight to Seattle.

Now, THAT is an interesting photo Mike. Once again you get a high score (and a high five) for capturing something so commonplace and yet unusual, in the best possible light. I REALLY like this one!

Wow- Without the explanation I never would have known what this was. My daughter use to like to squeeze impatient seed pods. They would make a loud pop and then the seeds would fly out. This reminded me of that.

You caught a great shot.
