Two weeks ago, we ran across a jumble of vertebrae, gnawed and weather-worn, on a hillside above Campbell Lake near Twisp. A deer spine? The pieces seemed too large for a coyote, and the surrounding bones didn't indicate bear or human. In any case, each vertebra is a beautiful calcium sculpture.

Interesting! They almost have the look of something extraterrestrial.
Also looks like the coyotes got the full meal deal out of it all.
