We are in between sports right now. Like all of the other local schools. So I would like to share a small but powerful program that one of the teachers here in Entiat has started. The Entiat Chamber of Commerce and the School District in 2008 created the Chamber of Tigers club. The current members are kids in the 1st and 2nd grade. They create hand crafted items to sell at the Entiat Bazaar and Summerfest. The goal of this project is to enhance the children's academic learning with hands on experience, by bring school and the community together. This last weekend the kids participated in the Holiday Bazaar at Entiat High School. It was very succesful and rewarding. The Entiat Chamber of Tigers would like to thank all the people who helped at the Holiday Bazaar on November 14th. The Chamber of Tigers raised $152.00 to put towards new playground equipment.
