Still hoping that some smarty pants in North Central Washington bangs together a transporter that can zap me from my work cubicle to a third-row seat at Gateway Cinema. Maybe this’ll be the year.

Speaking of which … the call for smarty-pants nominations was issued last week by the Greater Wenatchee Area Technology Alliance for their 2012 Innovator Awards. The honors will be presented at the group’s big luncheon on March 27 at the Wenatchee Convention Center.

Nominations are due Feb. 17 for Entrepreneur of the Year, Tech Savvy Business of the Year and Future Technology Leaders (for student brainiacs). You'll find nomination forms online at gwata.org or give GWATA a call at 661-9000.
