Next week's music, today
Blog: Give It a Spin
March 2, 2010
You can listen to two awesome albums a week before their release.
"Plastic Beach" by Gorillaz is getting the full-stream treatment over at NPR.
Besides that, the band just debuted the video for its first single, "Stylo," yesterday. The video includes — besides some sweet funky rhythms — some hot muscle car action, some "I'm just bein' my badass self, as usual" shots of Bruce Willis, and a box of delicious (looking) doughnuts. Watch it in HD at Youtube.
Next up, we have "Big Echo" by the Morning Benders. After teasing fans with downloads and/or video of singles "Promises" and "Excuses," lead singer Christopher Chu finally appeased us with one week of free steaming at the band's Web site.
Also in exciting music news this week:
OK Go unleashes the official music video for "This Too Shall Pass" from its latest album. They've really outdone themselves this time.
Also, the Black Keys have announced their next studio album, "Brothers," is being released May 18 on Nonesuch Records.
