Even though it's interesting to watch, photographing a crane working at installing something is pretty tough to shoot an interesting photograph of. There is quite a bit of distance between the ground and whatever the crane is lifting - pretty much wasted space in a photograph. So the more interesting picture is sometimes a close up of part of the process.
I came upon the installation of the last light pole at the Eastmont baseball field so running to home plate, I was able to shoot that as the foreground, pole in the background, crane top cropped off. Kind of interesting...

But I like this shot with the body language, and knowing what's above the worker's hand even more.

Hopefully there will be room in the newspaper for both images.
