Suzi Lane, a friend and local artist who displays at Two Rivers Gallery in Wenatchee took these photos recently. I admired them and asked her to send them to me so I could view them at home. Then I decided that maybe others would like to admire them, too.

The appealing part in the first one is the way the trees, bent from the weight of ice and snow, form an arch, framing the person on snowshoes.

In the second, I seem to be peering through the slender branches of the trees in the foreground, watching as the lone Canada goose marches silently and determinedly--where?--across the frozen land..

Suzi has created some lovely landscapes and scenes which have hung in previous showings both here at Two Rivers Gallery and in Burien, WA. She and many other talented artists who work in a variety of mediums present a display well worth viewing. The next opening will be January's First Friday on January 8, 2010 from 5-8 PM

You will also find live music, plus delicious hors d'oeuvres and liquid refreshments to sustain you as you stroll through the gallery. You'll find me there, and I hope to see you, too.
