Deep in the heart of psychobilly country, on this continent anyway, that would be Canada...Montreal, is a band that's been around for about seven years, "The Brains".

The Brains consist of Rene D LaMuerte on guitar and vocals, Franck 'O Brains guitar, Colin The Dead double bass and on drums Pat Kadaver. Their music, in usual psychobilly fashion, contains lyrics of a dark, horror nature with hard driving guitar and bass licks. The following video is the latest release from their latest album "Drunk Not Dead". Here's "Take What I Want".

What's a bit odd is it's hard to find any "live" video's of the band but there seems to be no shortage of "official" videos. The following is another of their latest album called "6 Rounds".

The last video is one of my favorites. Tho the subject matter is on the dark side, I love the pumping driving guitar and bass of the song "Screaming". Certain images in the video reminds me of "Reefer Madness" all crazy eyed and everything.

Currently they are on tour in Europe, mainly Germany and the U.K.. There currently is no listing of them playing the states but should they make it close to here, it will be a show that I will not want to miss. I love the sound of their driving guitar and bass.....that's psychobilly.
