Happy New Year Paddle

Blog: Shutterday

The wind was calm and the temperature was about 30 degrees. The coldest part of the trip was getting the kayaks to the water. Once the paddling began I wasn't cold except for the occasional splash of water from my paddle.

I mounted a small camera on a tripod and had the shutter release every 2 seconds. We spotted several heron's and eagles perched in and around the confluence area. We spent about 40 minutes paddling around and I managed to get out of my kayak without getting my feet wet!
