Got out before the moon came up

I followed most of the suggestions in the video of how to shoot stars, except I used a higher ISO and a shorter exposure. Finding a dark spot seems relatively easy until you realize that city lights from nearly 25 miles away are illuminating the low lying clouds.
Still I was pleased with the results. I'm still a noob to night photography, experimenting with a lot of different settings in post and getting a lot of different looks.

Those are beautiful shots. It almost looks like you can reach out and touch the stars.
