One day
Blog: Shutterday
January 28, 2013
The day started with another trip up Badger Mountain. I was hoping to catch the sunrise on the cloud shrouded Wenatchee Valley.

What I found was a clear area between the clouds.

Then I shot a panorama.
Later, driving down Wenatchee Avenue near Sav-Mart I spotted a double-decker bus.

I used a new method of HDR to process this picture. It's done using Photoshop and Adobe Camera Raw. The file created is enormous but lends itself well to the HDR process capturing all the light and dark areas.
Still later..A lot of my friends watch Downton Abbey, so using Photoshop I grabbed some photos off the internet and created...

As sunset approached I headed up to Saddle Rock to tryout the HDR process on the changing light of the sky and surrounding hills.

This is 7 images using an Exposure value of 1.7 between shots. Essentially taking different exposures and then combining them to capture all the light and dark areas.

Then I changed the exposure value to 0.3 and took 12 images. I combined the images using Photoshop and then converted the picture to black and white.
