Jagla: Thumbs up on Carroll
Blog: The Panther Post
January 13, 2010
Nobody was happier with the Seahawks recent coaching moves than Wenatchee offensive line coach Dave Jagla.
Jagla is a big Pete Carroll fan, and based the Panthers' zone blocking schemes off the teachings of Alex Gibbs, hired today to join Carroll's staff in Seattle.
Gibbs is the guru of this system, which lends itself towards teams with slightly smaller, quicker linemen with good technique.
Jagla said he found a bootleg clinic video Gibbs had done on eBay, and used it to tutor the Panthers.
"He's my guy," said Jagla, who watched one of his linemen, Devin Pirnat, helped lead the Wenatchee wrestling team to a win over Southridge on Tuesday night.
Jagla is also an assistant wrestling coach.
