Panthers nearly steal one
Blog: The Panther Post

As bad as the Wenatchee boys basketball team looked in the first half against Sunnyside in a modestly filled home gym on Tuesday, it was good enough in the second half to nearly snatch a victory from the jaws of defeat.
When the Grizzlies outscored Wenatchee 17-2 in the second quarter and then led by 20 with six minutes to go in the third, the Panthers looked dead.
The Purple and Gold turned the ball over on six of eight possessions to start the second quarter, and missed layups on the other two. Bad times.
"No energy, no intensity at the top of the 2-3 zone," Wenatchee coach Brett McGinnis lamented. "We've got to get that fixed."
Still, some home cooking on calls put the Panthers in position to claw back from the free throw line, and they did just that, forcing OT before the feisty Grizzlies put them away.
