A photograph taken in 1918 shows John "Dutch" Galler sitting on the running board of a Wenatchee Daily World news car. Published on Feb. 26, 1921, it was reported that he had passed away a few days earlier. Most likely the oldest person in North Central Washington at the time, his son, William Galler said he was 108 years, 1 month, and 23 days old when he died.
