The narrative surrounding Colorado's quarterback Shedeur Sanders has been all over the board this offseason.
Once his father, Deion, was announced as the Buffs head coach it was inevitable that Sanders made his way to Boulder as well. When he entered the transfer portal he was widely viewed as one of the best players available thanks to his immense success at Jackson State that saw him throw for nearly 7,000 yards 70 touchdowns while completing nearly 70% of his passes as a tiger. However, as time has gone on there have been more and more doubts about the Buffs roster despite Sanders headlining the No. 1 transfer class in the country.Â
That is why on the latest episode of Locked on Buffs, myself and On3's Josh Newberg broke down exactly why Sanders is ready for all of the pressure and expectations that have been placed on his shoulders.Â
We discuss how Sanders has always had the spotlight on him dating back to his days as a star in the Texas high school football scene, and even at Jackson State where any misstep would have led to endless scrutiny.Â
Sanders is no stranger to attention thanks to his father's status, and now he has a prime opportunity to prove that he can be one of the best signal callers in the country. We also discussed the huge spring game visitor's list, as well as some players we think will stand out during spring ball.Â
