Colorado's spring game could very well be one of the biggest recruiting days in college football in recent memory.
The Buffs currently are set to host a total of five five-star recruits, and around 20 recruits and counting at their spring game on April 22. Another highly touted recruit in four-star tight end Jaden Reddell will also be in attendance as we learned on Tuesday according to a report by On3.Â
The 6-foot-4 pass catcher hails from Raymore, Missouri and actually has a basketball background, but decided to focus on football. Aside from Colorado, other programs he plans on visiting or has already visited are Notre Dame, Tennessee, Georgia, and Oregon.
According to 247Sports, Reddell ranks as the No. 116 player in the country, No. 6 tight end, and ranks as the No. 3 player in the state. 247Sports' Allen Treiu broke down what Reddell brings to the table saying:
Increased production between sophomore and junior year. Has a long, taller frame with room to fill in. Used primarily as a big receiver in high school. Projects as a flex tight end in college who can still split out, stand in the slot and be moved around. Could end up playing attached with his hand down but has very little experience doing that at this point in his career. No verified speed times but is a long strider who runs very naturally and shows he can get vertical as well as run after the catch. Has natural ball skills and tracks and catches it over his shoulder like a wide receiver. Still a little raw in general but has big upside and should be a big time weapon in college and fits the mold of what eventually plays on Sundays.
Reddell finished this past season with 49 catches for over 1,000 yards, while hauling in 12 touchdown catches.Â
