Demolition of The Cottage Inn began Monday in Wenatchee. Owners of the 80-year-old business's property, Bill and Florence Lolos, began a lease-to-own agreement with Cascade Autocenter in 2020. The property will serve as additional parking until the construction of a new collision center.

Five years ago, Cascade Autocenter leadership began the process of acquiring the former Cottage Inn property. On Monday, demolition of the longtime restaurant began.

The 40-year-old building, which sat at 134 Easy St., closed in 2020, but the business on the .64-acre plot was around 80 years old.
