LEAVENWORTH — Cascade School District will be running two shuttle buses Saturday to ease a parking crunch for the graduation ceremonies at the Peshastin-Dryden Football Field.

The elementary school construction project currently underway has left only about 70 parking spaces onsite. Those will be available on a first come, first served basis.

Shuttle buses will run from Smallwood Fruit Stand and the Big Y Park and Ride starting at 6:15 p.m. They will run every 20 minutes, with the last one leaving at 7:45 p.m.

The commencement exercises start at 8 p.m. The shuttles will start again once the ceremony is complete, about 10 p.m.

Some on-street parking is available in Peshastin, but it also is limited. School officials are asking graduation attendees to be considerate of the neighbors and not block driveways.
