WENATCHEE —Volunteers will now be allowed inside Wenatchee schools as entities continue to ease COVID-19 restrictions.
The district previously allowed volunteers for field trips and other activities. However, it restricted who could assist inside classrooms to limit the number of adults and ensure social distancing.
The new policy, effective immediately, allows fully vaccinated volunteers. Volunteers can also seek a vaccine exemption through the district’s human resources department.
The Eastmont School District has allowed volunteers at schools since masking mandates were lifted in March.
For information and to register as a Wenatchee volunteer, go to wwrld.us/volunteer.
