WENATCHEE — Wenatchee Valley College and Confluence Health will conduct emergency training from 8 a.m. to noon Friday at the Wenatchee college campus and Central Washington Hospital.

The training will involve law enforcement, firefighters, emergency medical personnel and other first responders. Residents should expect to see emergency response personnel and vehicles, and possibly actors in makeup depicting realistic-looking injuries.

Traffic shouldn’t be affected, but the hospital will have increased activity. People who have signed up for RAVE emergency text alerts may also receive a message.

Except for a lockdown drill planned for 10 to 10:30 a.m., most of the college campus will operate normally.

Wells Hall, the John A. Brown Library, and the Music and Art Center will be closed for the day, as will the parking lots for those buildings, the armory and visitors on Fifth Street. Parking will be available in the lot near Sexton Hall or the Smith Gym.
