The Quincy FFA team from Quincy High School recently participated in the Practical Horsemanship Course in Ardell Pavilion at the Grant County Fairgrounds, and the District IX First Year Member Career Development Event at CB Tech in Moses Lake.
Students participated in two workshops, “I am” and “Connect,” at the horsemanship course. Myles Lee was selected as the State Winner in placement in Forage Proficiency Award and was also selected as a finalist for the Washington State Star in Placement.
Brody Wallace was named the State Winner in Placement in Beef Production Proficiency Award.

Royal lady named at gala
April Watson was recently named the 60th Royal Lady at the 2023 Annual Royal Lady Gala at the Enzian Inn, 590 Highway 2, Leavenworth.
Watson is one of many royal ladies in her many, and has been involved in the Autumn Leaf Festival and the Royal Bavarians along with her husband.
Watson will make her first appearance at the Wenatchee Apple Festival and will continue to travel to Canada and Oregon with other Washington Festivals.
