Halloween participants urged to exercise caution
The Ephrata Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the annual downtown Halloween festival from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at participating businesses.
Many stores will be open late for shopping, and information about events can be found at ephratawachamber.com.
During the event, participants and drivers are urged to exercise caution while navigating through downtown. Pedestrians and participants are encouraged to be defensive and use common sense when crossing streets, wearing costumes and walking during the event.
The city is asking drivers to proceed slowly or avoid the area entirely.
