Bee a junior pollinator biologist
This Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon is the free, family fun day where kids can learn all about why bees are so valuable to us. Bees’ ability to pollinate flowers provides us with most of the foods we eat.
Take a look at them under a microscope, try on a beekeeper’s suit, see insect displays and other fun things. All this takes place at the Community Education Garden at the northwest corner of Western and Springwater avenues, Wenatchee.
Five stations are planned with different fun projects, and kids who complete them will receive a certificate and bag of goodies.
Although geared to kids 5 years and older, there will be activities kids of any age can enjoy, with information in both English and Spanish.
