60th -- Schnelle

Reuel and Judy Schnelle, today

Reuel and Judy Schnelle of East Wenatchee will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary during an open house celebration 2 to 4 p.m. May 5 at Wenatchee Church of the Nazarene, 1011 S. Miller St.

Judy Weeks and Reuel Schnelle were married March 21, 1959, in Everett.

The couple previously lived in Edmonds, Lake Stevens and Newhall, California. They split their time between Wenatchee and Henderson, Nevada.

They are the parents of a son and daughter-in-law, Jim Schnell and April Schnell-Plats of Henderson, and Todd and Tiffany Schnelle of Chelan.

They have eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He served four years in the U.S. Coast Guard before working in floor covering sales for 15 years and at Tree Top in Cashmere for 13 years.

She worked for Mail Boxes Etc./The UPS store for 11 years.

The couple also owned and operated the Dandy Dunker Donuts and Judy’s Lunch Basket in Wenatchee and Flower Pot Cookies in East Wenatchee from 1980 to 1992.
