Looking Back

Looking back: Orondo Avenue

In the old photograph, this is how Orondo Avenue looked over a century ago. Maude Boblet, at left, rides with an unidentified companion east of the corner of Orondo and Chelan Avenue. The steepled building in the background was the First Methodist Church.

In the new photograph, this is the scene looking west on Orondo Avenue on October 18, 2021. The Wenatchee YMCA building, at left, was constructed in 1913.
