WENATCHEE — U.S. Rep. Kim Schrier will hold a fire preparedness forum at 5 p.m. June 28 at City Hall, 301 Yakima St.

Also attending will be John Sokich, director of National Weather Service Congressional Affairs; Mick Lamar, Lake Wenatchee Fire and Rescue chief; and Mayor Frank Kuntz.

Sokich will talk about the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration’s latest GOES-17 satellite and its ability to predict and help manage wildfires and storms in the region.
