Chelan County Sheriff's Office goes to court over sergeant reinstatement rules

Chelan County Sheriff Mike Morrison is asking a judge to review a decision tied to an ongoing dispute over reinstating sergeants in his department.

Morrison filed a motion Tuesday in Superior Court for review of an Oct. 1 decision by the county's Civil Service Commission. The three-member panel is appointed by Chelan County Commissioners and arbitrates how public employees, like deputies, are hired, promoted or suspended.
