Caroline Moser, Leavenworth, lops off a sagebrush branch to help clear the Glacier View trail during a volunteer work morning on Tuesday. Six volunteers joined two Chelan-Douglas Land Trust employees to work on three trails in the Horse Lake Reserve area. Moser says she used to be a member of the Northwest Youth Corps, performing trail maintenance about ten years ago. After attending a local birding event this spring, she decided to help the land trust by volunteering. "I'm astounded by the people who take the time to volunteer," said coordinator Olivia Shilling. For future volunteering opportunities check the land trust's website at cdlandtrust.org.
