Photos: Chelan County elections office handling loads of ballots
Dealing with a flood of ballots in the last few days of voting, Stephanie Wilder, left, and her mother-in-law Teresa Wilder check signatures Monday afternoon. According to Chelan County Auditor Skip Moore, this is the second general election that has seen a large influx of ballots turned in in the last days of voting. He said it's changing the number of votes that can be tallied and released on election night. He said his department can process about 3,000 ballots in a day.
Kathy Hammond runs needle and thread through a hole in a batch of security envelopes, making sure all of the ballots have been taken out during verification procedures on Monday at the Chelan County Elections Department.
