EAST WENATCHEE — Three masked men robbed an East Wenatchee marijuana dispensary at gunpoint Sunday, restraining two employees using duct tape before fleeing with money and store products.

The three robbers, two of them armed with handguns, entered The Happy Crop Shoppe at 10:57 p.m., according to an East Wenatchee news release. The 50 Rock Island Road store was about to close.

East Wenatchee Police Chief Rick Johnson said one of the robbers hit an employee three times with a handgun.

No shots were fired during the robbery.

The robbers restrained employees with duct tape before fleeing in a vehicle, according to the release. Police do not know the type of vehicle.

Employees eventually freed themselves and called 911, according to the release. The employee who was struck with a gun was not taken to the hospital.

Johnson said police are looking at security footage taken in the shop during the incident and are not yet releasing details on what was stolen.

The East Wenatchee police are asking anyone with information on the incident to call RiverCom Dispatch at (509) 663-9911.
