WENATCHEE — All city recreational activities are canceled today, including pool programs and tonight's summer concert at Centennial Park.
The city will make a decision on Saturday's dog swim at the pool at 11 a.m. Saturday.

NCW — With the local air quality still at unhealthy levels, a few events have been canceled and the Wenatchee School District is making preparations.
The following events are off:
School-sponsored athletics and other activities are set to begin Monday.
The school district said in a news release that such activities will not be held outdoors when the air quality index is at 151 or higher. Officials are monitoring the levels here: aqicn.org/city/usa/washington/wenatchee/fifth-st.
Practices will be moved inside or canceled, and games will be rescheduled or canceled, the district said. Decisions will be made each day as necessary, and schools will notify families of any changes made to practice or game schedules.
The district said students will also have indoor recess when the air quality is unhealthy. The first day of school is Aug. 29.
