Wenatchee High School gave special recognition to alum Heidi Shreck earlier this month for the Tony Award nominations she received for her hit Broadway play, “What The Constitution Means To Me.”

One of the messages on the school’s reader board made mention of the nominations.

What a wonderful way to honor her. The play is based on her experience as a high school student competing in a contest sponsored by the American Legion.

The play also received a nomination for a Pulitzer Prize and has been called the most important play on Broadway this year.

When she was in high school — she graduated in 1989 — the school similarly honored her with a message on the reader board for her success in oration.
