WENATCHEE — The city is updating its sign code and wants public input.
An open house is set for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday on the second floor of City Hall, 301 Yakima St.
Residents can help answer questions like:
- Where should new pole signs be allowed or prohibited?
- What changes would help improve sign visibility while maintaining or enhancing the city’s character?
- How should the city address digital signs?
The city aims “to reflect evolving community priorities, new technologies, and best practices in design and legal production of free speech,” according to a news release. It also wants to make the process more user-friendly for businesses, sign-makers, residents and city staff.
