WENATCHEE — Wenatchee Valley Animal Care and Control officers on Thursday seized dozens of dogs and more than a dozen birds as part of an active animal cruelty investigation.

The onsite search and seizure — one of the largest for the organization — extended over a five-hour long period at an undisclosed location in Chelan County and was carried out by the agency, according to a news release Friday from the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society. Animal Care and Control is an arm of the humane society.
