A fender-bender in the Wendy’s parking lot resulted in the driver of one car putting his car in gear and accidentally driving into the building Wednesday evening. No one was injured.

WENATCHEE — A car crashed into Wendy’s Wednesday, leaving a hole in the east side of the building.

About 6:27 p.m., two cars were reversing out of parking stalls when they backed into each other, causing one driver to inadvertently put his car in gear and then accidentally drive into the building, said Sgt. Tim Lykken.

The car broke through brick and glass.

The driver showed no signs of impairment from drugs or alcohol, he said.

No one was injured in the crash.

The inside of the business was closed for the evening, but the drive-thru remained open.
