BREWSTER — The Brewster High School baseball team hosted a state quarterfinal game against the Northwest Christian Crusaders (Colbert) on Saturday. The Bears came into the game the defending state champions, the No. 1 seed and just won their 14th consecutive game.

The Crusaders (16-6) were among the top three teams in the Northeast 2B League and were the No. 8 seed. It was a loser-out game and the Bears (23-1) sent the Crusaders packing with an 8-2 win.
