WENATCHEE — It was the Chelan and Bridgeport high schools' last chance to extend their soccer season on Saturday. A loser-out district match at the Apple Bowl was the only obstacle standing in its way after each team already had strong seasons to reach this point.

Chelan (10-7) and Bridgeport (13-5) were well-matched. The game was a back-and-forth nail-biter that resulted in a 2-2 tie after regular time. Finally, the game boiled down to a shootout which the Goats narrowly won, advancing to state, and ending Bridgeport’s season.
