Eldon W. Noyes passed away on May 29, 2019, at the age of 87, surrounded by his family. He was born on January 1, 1932, in Walla Walla, WA, as the first of three children to Clarence and Iva Noyes. He grew up in Oregon and had a love of nature which he never lost. Eldon attended boarding school at Laurelwood Academy, followed by Walla Walla College, where he studied architecture.

At age of 20, he married Arlene Plumlee from Roseburg, OR, whom he met while attending school in Laurelwood. With their children, they lived in different places on the West Coast, spending the last 44 years in the Wenatchee Valley.

In his career as a general contractor, Eldon designed and built custom homes. His work connected him to many people, and he made numerous friends bringing joy into people’s lives with his positive attitude, sweet humor, and hospitality. He was always helping others.

He loved the mountains, outdoors, and physical fitness, and lived life to the fullest. His travels took him throughout the U.S. and Canada, to Europe, Central and South America, Mexico, and the Caribbean. As an avid reader, he studied books on religion and health. Eldon loved and enjoyed his family, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and it was always a special time when he had them around.

Eldon was predeceased by his loving wife, Arlene, of almost 50 years, and leaves behind five children; six grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; and brothers: Edwin Noyes and Elton Noyes. His strong faith in God, kindness, and positive nature, touched many lives. He will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2019, from 1:00-4:00 p.m., at the Wenatchee Convention Center, in the Orchard South room, 121 N. Wenatchee Ave., Wenatchee, WA. Light refreshments will be provided. Arrangement by Heritage Memorial Chapel, East Wenatchee & Cashmere, WA.
